Embroidery from Palestine

To celebrate 45 years of Dundee's twin-city relationship with Nablus in Palestine the V&A museum in Dundee will be holding an exhibition of Thread Memory Embroidery from Palestine. The exhibition explores the significance of dress for Palestinian women. The art of hand embroidery, Tatreez, serves as a powerful form of expression as it tells stories of youth, motherhood and grief and traces the social and political landscape. The exhibition is running until 5th April 2026.
