Rippon Boswell Spring Auction

Rippon Boswell will be holding they spring sale of oriental rugs, carpets and textiles at their wiesbaden auction house in Germany on 3rd June 2023. the sale includes 246 lots from different areas of the orient many of the picecs are from important private collectors, including the well known James Burns from Seattle who has consigned 24 carpets and flatweaves to the sale. stand out pieces are a Caucasain Chelaberd lot125, an early Kurdish garden rug lot 155, a beautiful Persian silk Heriz lot 140, and an unusal Persian Bakhtiari carpet with tile field design lot 150. Also from the collection of the late Hans Konig are some special rugs like the unique Arabchi chuval lot 132.
