Koller Auctions of Zurich will be holding their Carpet sale on the 28th March 2019. It includes 100 interesting, decorative and antique oriental rugs and carpets. The Auction boasts a number of decorative carpets in very good condition, and some beautiful antique examples with rare designs. One of the auctions stand out pieces is a colossal Persian Kerman Laver carpet measuring 12.70m x 6.00m. Austria Auction Company's upcoming auction, Collector Rugs with No Reserve, will be held at their Palais Breuner saleroom in Vienna on the 9th March 2019. The Palais Dorotheum in Vienna will be holding their oriental rug and carpet auction on the 20th February 2019. One of the highlights is a Central Persian silk carpet from the first half of the 20th century. This large rug of unusual format boasts a vase and central gable motif on a light coloured ground, and is in excellent condition. Another lot is a Savonnerie from the second half of the 18th century, commissioned as a palace carpet. This museum quality carpet is in good condition, with a round filigree medallion enclosed in a lozenge on a rust ground. Another magnificent carpet is a mid 20th century Persian Meshed carpet of the finest quality from northeast Persia. Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers is holding its antique sale from 27 February to 7th March 2019 in Copenhagen. Stockholm's Auktionsverk is hosting an important sale of fine Art & Antiques on the 5th December 2018. Included in the sale is a rare antique Salor Turkmen trapping from a Swedish collection (lot 108). The Trapping dates from the mid 19th century, and has a Kejebe design with three medallions or gols with four opposing kejebe devices between them. After the 1850's the Salor tribe was greatly reduced in size and their weaving's almost ceased to exist. These eight pointed star medallion trappings were thought to be used much like an asmalyk in the bridal caravan. Henry's Auctions in Mutterstadt Germany are holding a Collectors Carpet sale on the 8th December 2018. The sale includes a fine selection of Tibetan rugs and carpets from a private German collection and highly decorative Oriental carpets from a private Australian collection.
