Spring Oriental Rug & Carpet Auctions

Bruun Rasmussen auctions Denmark will be holding a live auction on the 5th March 2024. The sale will include a small number of Oriental rugs and carpets, carpets of note are an impressive antique Persian Heriz size 5.92m x 3.28m, Estimated €9,400. Also Lot 185 a Caucasian Shirvan dated 1313=1895 size 3.19m x 1.50, Estimated €6,700, and Lot 163 a very fine Persian Seirafian Isfahan carpet size 2.11m x 1.53m Estimated €4,000. Bonhams Skinner sale of Fine Carpets and Rare Textiles will take place over ten days from 26th February until 7th March 2024. The auction will include 375 lots, many from old New England estates which will be fresh to the market, and will feature rugs and carpets from Persia, Caucasia, Anatolia and China. Carpets of not include Lot 211 an antique Persian Feraghan carpet circa 1900 size 8'9ft x 11'11ft Estimated $6,000-$9,000, and Lot 200 a Caucasian Sewan Kazak Rug circa 1880 size 6ft x 8'10ft Estimated $7,000-$10,000, and lastly Lot 206 an antique Persian Serapi carpet circa 1890 size 11ft x 15ft Estimated $8,000-$12,000. And in Zurich Koller auctions will hold there carpet sale on the 21st March 2024, the sale will include 90 lots of old and antique oriental carpets from Persia, Anatolia and Caucasia. One very interesting rug is Lot 1401 an antique Lotto Ushak rug circa 1700 size 2.00m x 181m Estimated €25,770-€36,080.
